On July 19, 2019, the NGO «QazaqQeoqraphy» hosted the conference «Development of Scientific and Informative Tourism». The conference was attended by the Chairman of the Board of QazaqGeography Zhana Rustem, the vice-president of the Russian Geographical Society Vladimir Kolosov, the heads of key departments of the Russian Geographical Society Olga Tsareva and Sergey Korlykhanov, the head of the Representative Office of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Kazakhstan Konstantin Vorobyov and experts from the tourism industry.

It should be noted that an important reason for close cooperation between the two countries was the agreement on cooperation between the Russian Geographical Society and the Republican Public Association «QazaqGeography». During the meeting there were agreed to cooperate in a series of joint actions, including joint photo exhibitions, geographical dictation and expeditions. It was decided that for participants from Kazakhstan special questions will be developed about the cultural, geographical and natural attractions of this country.

In his speech, K. Vorobyov noted:«It is important that we have found mutual understanding on issues of joint action in preparation for the XVII Forum of interregional cooperation, which will be held in November this year in Omsk with the participation of the presidents of our countries.»
